Tamar Braxton Talks Pregnancy

Tamar Braxton sure knows how to keep a secret! Just hours after the WE tv reality star announced her pregnancy on ABC’s Good Morning America, the mom-to-be and her sister, Trina Braxton, stopped by Us Weekly’s New York City offices March 13 and elaborated on Tamar’s baby news.

“I only have a few months to go,” Tamar, 35, revealed. “I’m in my last trimester.” This will be the first child for the “Love and War” singer and her husband of five years, record executive Vince Herbert, 43.

The spouses know their child’s gender but are waiting to share it with fans for now. “We know. You don’t! You have to wait,” Tamar laughed. “You’ll find out on Braxton Family Values. I don’t want to spoil it.”

Trina, meanwhile, can’t wait to watch her younger sister become a mother. “I can’t wait to be a new auntie,” she told Us. “Even though I do know what she’s having, I can’t wait!”

Tamar — who also stars in a WE tv spinoff, Tamar & Vince — admitted she’s got a lot to learn before the baby comes. “It’s weird because it’s always been just me and my shoes, and now it’s me and a baby,” she joked. “It’s good news.”

The new season of Braxton Family Values premieres tonight on WE tv.

Keyshia Cole Trashes Michelle Williams’ Super Bowl Performance

Keyshia Cole was less than impressed with the Destiny’s Child reunion during Super Bowl XLVII. The outspoken R&B singer, 31, shared her candid — and cruel — commentary with her 217,577 Twitter followers in a series of posts Feb. 4.

Beyonce Knowles, 31, Kelly Rowland, 31, and Michelle Williams, 32, performed “Bootylicious,” “Independent Women Part 1” and “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” during the Mercedes-Benz halftime show; celebrities including Kelly Clarkson, Jimmy Fallon, Sophia Bush and Chris Colfer praised the medley via Twitter.

“F-ck that shit up then Beyonce! Bad bitch central,” Cole wrote of the headliner, who also performed a selection of her solo hits. “I think I was frightened to blink for a sec. Then Michelle sung and woke my ass up from my daze! She always f-cking the groove up.”

After Destiny’s Child fans targeted Cole’s Twitter account in defense of the popular girl group, the “Love” singer offered a half-hearted apology. “But hey! I love y’all too!” she tweeted. “And y’all girl is whack and always will be!”

Despite Cole’s harsh criticism, Williams was pleased with her performance. “Had a great time with my sisters tonight! Tried to keep it a surprise!” tweeted the singer, who replaced original Destiny’s Child members LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson when she joined the group in 2000. “Love you all. God bless!”

Knowles, too, was thrilled with how everything turned out. “It feels good to know the hard work paid off. It’s a live television show. It’s the biggest show in America,” Jay-Z ‘s wife told OMG! Insider following her performance. “There’s so many things that could happen and God was on my side, so I’m very, very happy that it went well and the power went out after.”

Tyler Perry Breaks Oprah Winfrey’s Back With His Large…Flower Arrangement

Get your minds out of the gutter, people.

Actor and director Tyler Perry went to his Facebook earlier today to apologize to his dear friend Oprah Winfrey, who is now suffering an injury, thanks to the star. (Well, in Perry’s defense, it was a kind gesture.)

The Alex Cross star sent Oprah a big flower arrangement for her birthday—so sweet, right?—but it seems like Winfrey didn’t maintain the proper posture when trying to pick it up.

“I FEEL SO BAD,” Perry wrote.

“I like to send really large flower arrangements to people for whatever occasion. Well, I sent one to Oprah yesterday for her birthday. She strained her back picking it up. No joke! Feel better Oprah. Happy birthday. Sorry. 🙁 Next year I’m sending her one rose. :-)”

That sounds like a good plan.

Lance Armstrong’s Oprah Interview Scores Big Ratings

One person’s shame and ridicule is another person’s ratings gold!

A whopping 4.3 million viewers tuned in to last night’s Oprah’s Next Chapter to watch Oprah Winfrey grill Lance Armstrong about his alleged doping scandal, making it the highest rated weekday telecast in OWN history. And that was only part one!

Oprah and Lance Armstrong: The Worldwide Exclusive had the cyclist admitting to doping to win races starting in the mid ’90s. “I viewed [taking drugs] as very simple—oxygen-boosting drugs that were incredibly beneficial for performance sports. And that’s all you needed. My cocktail was only EPO—not a lot, transfusions and testosterone.”

When asked why he didn’t come clean sooner, Armstrong simply said: “I don’t know if I have a great answer. I will start my answer by saying this is too late…and that’s my fault. I view this situation as one big lie that I repeated many times.”

Part two (airing tonight on OWN) will feature more conversations between Oprah and Armstrong about his past use of performance-enhancement drugs and probably more kind-of-saying-sorry but not really.

Lance Armstrong To Address Doping Scandals In Oprah Winfrey Interview

Is Lance Armstrong about to confess to Oprah Winfrey?

A few days after the New York Times reported that the disgraced cyclist, 41, was mulling a public admission regarding his suspected use of performance-enhancing drugs and blood transfusions, Winfrey has landed an exclusive, “no-holds-barred interview,” Winfrey’s site announced Tuesday Jan. 8.

In the Jan. 17 episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter, taped at the athlete’s home in Austin, Tex., Armstrong “will address the alleged doping scandal, years of accusations of cheating, and charges of lying about the use of performance-enhancing drugs throughout his storied cycling career,” the site reveals.

It’s the first interview for Armstrong since he was stripped of all of his Tour de France winner titles and lucrative endorsements and banned for life from cycling by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency and the World Anti-Doping Agency.

Armstrong has previously denied all doping charges, but the the New York Times, citing anonymous sources, has confided in colleagues about possibly confessing. The confession could mean a lifting of Armstrong’s lifetime ban.

Bethenny Frankel Has Officially Filed For Divorce

Many of us, present company included, thought that this whole “Bethenny and Jason break-up” business might have been for press. He was still living in their home for example. But over the weekend it was confirmed that this was not just a temporary separation, Bethenny has taken that next marriage ending step and has filed for divorce. She reportedly filed earlier in the week.

“It brings me great sadness to say that Jason and I are separating,” Bethenny said in a statement on December 23rd. “This was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family.”

After the word got out that this was not just a separation, but that she had actually filed for divorce, she sent out a tweet saying, “To those of you who are being supportive: thank you. To those of you who are judging: I totally get it.”

Let’s hope that the divorce goes smoothly especially for the sake of their daughter Bryn.

Connecticut School Shooting: 26 Killed, Gunman Dead

The suspect in the Connecticut school shootings that killed 26 people is 24-year-old Ryan Lanza, and his younger brother is being held for questioning as a possible second shooter, a law enforcement official said Friday. The law enforcement official says the boys’ mother, Nancy Lanza, worked at the school as a teacher and is presumed dead.

The official also said Ryan Lanza’s girlfriend and another friend are missing in New Jersey.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, the official said the suspect is dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because the source was not authorized to speak on the record about the developing criminal investigation.

According to the official, the suspect drove to the scene of the shootings in his mother’s car. Three guns were found at the scene — a Glock and a Sig Sauer, both pistols — and a .223-caliber rifle. The rifle was recovered from the back of a car at the school. The two pistols were recovered from inside the school.

The dead included 20 children and six adults. The gunman was also dead.

President Barack Obama held a news conference in Washington this afternoon. “They had their entire lives ahead of them,” Obama said. The president ordered flags flown at half staff.

The shooting appeared to be the nation’s second-deadliest school shooting, exceeded only by the Virginia Tech massacre in 2007.
There were unconfirmed reports of a second shooter after witnesses reported hearing dozens of shots fired.

Sandy Hook Elementary School teaches children from kindergarten through fourth grade, roughly ages 5 to 10.

“It was horrendous,” said parent Brenda Lebinski, who rushed to the school where her daughter is in the third grade. “Everyone was in hysterics – parents, students. There were kids coming out of the school bloodied. I don’t know if they were shot, but they were bloodied.”

Television images showed police and ambulances at the scene, and parents rushing toward the school. Parents were seen reuniting with their children and taking them home.

“This is going to be bad,” a state official told Reuters, requesting anonymity because the scope of the tragedy remained uncertain.

The shooter, an adult, was dead and two handguns were recovered from the scene, NBC News reported without citing a source.

Lebinski said a mother who was at the school during the shooting told her a “masked man” entered the principal’s office and may have shot the principal. Lebinski, who is friends with the mother who was at the school, said the principal was “severely injured.”

Lebinski’s daughter’s teacher “immediately locked the door to the classroom and put all the kids in the corner of the room.”

Stephen Delgiadice said his 8-year-old daughter heard two big bangs and teachers told her to get in a corner. His daughter was fine.

“It’s alarming, especially in Newtown, Connecticut, which we always thought was the safest place in America,” he said.

The superintendent’s office said the district had locked down schools in Newtown, about 60 miles northeast of New York City. Schools in neighboring towns also were locked down as a precaution.

State police said Newtown police called them around 9:40 a.m. A SWAT team was among the throngs of police to respond.

Mergim Bajraliu, 17, heard the gunshots echo from his home and raced to check on his 9-year-old sister at the school. He said his sister, who was fine, heard a scream come over the intercom at one point. He said teachers were shaking and crying as they came out of the building.

“Everyone was just traumatized,” he said.

A girl interviewed by NBC Connecticut described hearing seven loud “booms” as she was in gym class. Other children began crying and teachers moved the students to a nearby office, she said.

“A police officer came in and told us to run outside and so we did,” the unidentified girl said on camera.

Connecticut State Police said its officers were at the scene with local police but provided no additional details. The emergency call to police occurred at 9:41 a.m., state police said.

Newtown, with a population about 27,000, is in northern Fairfield County, about 45 miles southwest of Hartford and 80 miles northeast of New York City.

Sandy Hook is one of four elementary schools in the district.

Katie Holmes on Jimmy Fallon: Happy In First Post-Divorce TV Interview

Katie Holmes was in good spirits during an appearance on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” Thursday, and the actress revealed that she is open to starring in a “Dawson’s Creek” reunion.

The 33-year-old “Dead Accounts” star was relaxed and happy throughout the segment, despite it being her first post-divorce TV interview. She spoke about her latest acting gig and having slight reservations about a “Dawson’s Creek” reunion.

“We have kind of talked about it here and there but we’re like ‘what do you do’ because our last episode Michelle [Williams’] character passed away,” Holmes said with reference to the character known as “Jen.”

In September, actor Joshua Jackson, who played Pacey in the popular TV series, revealed that Holmes had contacted him to catch up shortly after her divorce from Cruise, 50, was finalized. She had reportedly been interested in the possibility of a show reunion during her marriage to Cruise, although the actor allegedly shot down the idea.

Khloe Kardashian’s Nip-Tastic X Factor Premiere

It was an exciting evening as Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez made their debut as co-hosts on “The X Factor” and viewers got a little more than they’d bargained for thanks to the E! reality television star’s sheer shirt.

Khloe’s purple blouse exposed her nipple when under direct spotlight, which was reminiscent of her “FOX and Friends” nip slip moment.

Judge Simon Cowell wasted no time in tweeting about the wardrobe malfunction- “I think the air conditioning is on high tonight looking at Khloe.”

Kardashian shot back, “I think I had a little nip action earlier LOL “@WeLoveKhloeKO: i dont get the air conditioning joke…”
