So Proud Of My Daughter

I’m so extremely proud of my daughter. She’s always been my little twin but for so long she was just my little girl. Now seeing her as a wife and a mom, I’m proud to call her my friend. She’s such an awesome human being. She recently premiered her new show Howard High (which I directed lol) and I’ve had the pleasure to get to see her do all her interviews for her part in the show. It makes me so proud to see how she handles herself and stays so humbled. I may have just raised her right lol. All jokes aside I’m very proud of my Best Friend.

Today marks the premiere of the Chris Stokes created series “Howard High”. Howard High is this generation’s Urban Glee. The concept, which was imagined by Chris Stokes pays homage to one of his favorite shows from his youth, “Fame”.

The show follows ‘Frank King,’ played by Brian White, (“Ray Donovan”/ ”Scandal”) a former honor roll student of the high school who is asked to come back and take a principal position at the school, not knowing that the school is on the verge of closing down because it has become the lowest-ranked school in the state. Frank also doesn’t realize that the only reason ‘Superintendent Thomas,’ played by Dorien Wilson, (“The Parkers”) offered him the position was so he could position him to take the fall and blame him for the school’s decline. To Frank’s surprise, there is major talent right under his nose within the performing arts music program. After firing the music teacher, and with the help of his friend and new music teacher ‘Michael Kirsh,’ played by singer Marques Houston, (You Got Served), Frank and his team just may be able to save the school! The show is also introducing newcomer (and Chris Stokes’ daughter), Chrissy Stokes, in the lead role of ‘Nicki Ross,’ a beautiful moody teenager who’s just moved to Los Angeles from Arizona, where she got into some trouble. She’s a bit shy, and in no rush to reveal the incredible singing talent that she has.

Mike Tyson Slaps Live Nation With $5 Million Lawsuit Over Alleged Embezzlement

Mike Tyson’s going for a knockout—in court.

The boxing champ is suing a financial-services firm and its parent company, Live Nation Entertainment, accusing one of their advisers of embezzling $300,000 from him and his wife, Lakiha.

Per the complaint filed in Los Angeles Superior Court and a copy of which was obtained by E! News, Tyson alleges that Brian Ourand of SFX Financial Advisory Management and Live Nation covered up the pilfering while the couple was going through bankruptcy, which prevented the Tysons from stabilizing their finances and forced them to turn down lucrative business opportunities.

The sports icon claims they trusted Ourand’s firm with their financial affairs without knowing they were receiving “false and misleading financial advice…to cover up his theft,” according to the docs.

That resulted in excess of $5 million in damages to the Tysons while their former adviser has not faced criminal prosecution and has since left SFX, the suit alleges. Not only that, but the Tysons asserted SFX/Live Nation tried “coercing” them into signing a settlement agreement and confidentiality agreement without providing a full accounting of the funds that were stolen.

The duo want unspecified damages, restitution, punitive damages and court costs.

Attorneys for Ourand and Live Nation were unavailable for comment.

Tyson, 46, has seen a career resurgence of late, thanks to cameos in box-office hits like The Hangover, appearances in best-selling video games and a one-man solo show he headlined in Las Vegas and on Broadway entitled Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth.
