Rihanna would likely walk around completely naked if it were legal, and though she actually covered up during her recent visit to the United Arab Emirates, the singer was still asked to leave Abu Dhabi’s Grand Mosque on Saturday.
The mosque’s overseers told the Associated Press that they asked the 25-year-old pop star to leave the compound after she posed for photos they considered to be at odds with the sanctity of the site.
Rihanna has yet to comment publicly, though she did post a number of pictures of herself from the photo shoot, that were deemed offensive, to her Instagram account. In the pics, the singer adheres to the mosque’s guidelines, she was covered up in a black jumpsuit from head to toe.
Sticks and stones might break her bones, but chains and whips excite her!
Yes, Rihanna‘s been known to share her sexual proclivities through her art, and she continues the trend in a racy new V Magazine photo shoot with perennial supermodel Kate Moss, and we’ve got the pics and video for you right here on RadarOnline.com.
Famed photographer Mario Testino took the steamy shots of Kate and the S&M singer, who celebrated her 25th birthday in Hawaii this week with beau Chris Brown.
In one sexy shot, Moss, 39, is hovering over a prone RiRi (clad in a form-fitting lace get-up) with whip in hand.
In the issue, Rihanna said the celebrity pairing came about when she was talking with Testino about an upcoming shoot, and Moss told her she’d love to team up for it.
“Kate overheard us talking and she said, ‘I want to do it with you!’ Again, I was like, ‘Are you f***ing kidding me?’ … I was dying on the inside. All my fantasies were coming true: Mario, V, Kate Moss,” Rihanna said.
Pop star Rihanna accompanied boyfriend Chris Brown to court for a probation hearing Wednesday, sitting with Brown’s mother while the singer faced the judge.
It was Rihanna’s second time in a courtroom with Brown. The first was the day in August 2009 when he was sentenced to five years’ probation and 180 days of community service for beating her.
Brown is now in trouble with the Los Angeles County district attorney, who accused him in a court filing this week of not completing the community labor ordered when he pleaded guilty to the felony assault charge.
The paperwork Brown submitted to show he had completed community labor is “at best sloppy documentation and at worst fraudulent reporting,” District Attorney Jackie Lacey said. Brown wasn’t in town on some of the dates reported, the motion said.
Brown’s lawyer Mark Geragos disputed the charges, saying that at least six Virginia officials told the Los Angeles investigators that Brown had performed his community labor.
“Apparently the district attorney’s office has completely lost their minds,” Geragos said Tuesday. “They are making scurrilous, libelous and defamatory statements and apparently have lost their ability to read their own reports.”
Despite the serious allegations outlined in the court filing, the prosecutor is not asking for Brown’s probation to be revoked and the singer sent to jail. She is asking the judge to order him to restart his 1,400 hours of community service under the supervision of a Los Angeles probation officer.
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge James Brandlin set a hearing for April 5 for Brown to return to court, but a full hearing on the allegations will be held later.
Brandlin ordered Brown to report to his probation officer within the next two days to be interviewed for a report that will be used at the hearing.
Geragos said he would encourage the Richmond Police Department to take legal action against the Los Angeles County district attorney.
Rihanna entered the courtroom behind Brown and sat on the second row of the right side.
This Friday marks the fourth anniversary of the night Brown punched Rihanna inside a rented Lamborghini on a Hollywood street, leaving her face bruised and bloody.
Rihanna and Brown broke up after he was arrested for assaulting her, but they’ve made no secret in recent months that they are a couple again.
Brown got an unusual deal when he pleaded guilty in August 2009 which allowed him to complete his court-ordered community service in Virginia, under the personal supervision of Richmond Police Chief Bryan Norwood.
Normally, community service must be supervised by a probation office. The Los Angeles district attorney alleged in a motion filed Tuesday that Brown’s mother supervised most of it, and investigators found evidence it was never done.
The motion also accused Brown of violating probation by punching singer Frank Ocean at a Hollywood recording studio last month, threatening to “bust” — or shoot — the singer. It also notes a Miami incident during which Brown allegedly stole a fan’s cell phone and a chair-throwing incident after a “Good Morning America” interview.
Also, Brown’s claim to have medical marijuana license, which used to defend against a drug test result, was invalid because the acupuncturist who wrote it was not licensed to prescribe drugs, the motion said.
A new year doesn’t automatically mean a fresh start for everyone.
Hollywood on-again, off-again couple Rihanna and Chris Brown continue their notorious rocky romance as we head into 2013, as evidenced by the duo being snapped together today in a drive-thru grabbing some food and Icees.
Breezy was all smiles at the camera, while Ri-Ri—who was sporting a red sweater from Brown’s clothing line, Black Pyramid—was either giving someone the stink eye or got bothered by the sun’s rays. We’ll never know.
It’s not a total shocker that the two were seen hanging out together, considering their recent Instagram posts.
“Good morning! Still haven’t slept lol #hello2013,” the songstress wrote on her Instagram on New Year’s, with a picture of herself peering out from underneath a black-and-white polka dot comforter.
And the best part? The same comforter appeared in Brown’s Instagram, simply titled “Mornings.”
First Thanksgiving, and now Christmas. Rihanna and Chris Brown spent the holidays together at a Lakers game in Los Angeles, and the former couple look very much on-again. It seems as though those Karreuche Tran rumors are just rumors after all.
Rihanna and Brown spent the game courtside and were photographed frequently smiling at one another and leaning in close. TMZ reports that they both drove together in the same car to the game, but got out of it separately. RiRi also tweeted an image of them together on Christmas with the caption “ThugLife.”
The images might have ruined at least one person’s Christmas. Tran, Brown’s ex, posted a picture on Instagram Christmas morning that showed her wearing one of Brown’s Bathing Ape shirts. The caption with it simply read, “Good morning.” The photo was later deleted after pictures of Brown and Rihanna together hit the web.
Though Brown and Rihanna haven’t yet confirmed they’re an item again, RiRi tweeted as a Christmas resolution that she’s going to spend 2013 focusing on the things that make her happy. Considering the volume of tweets and images she’s posted featuring Brown, we’re guessing he’s one of them.
“It is most important to be happy, eliminate negativity around you this holiday season,” she tweets. “2013 is way too futuristic for the same weak s**t”
Rihanna has given $1.75 million to a hospital in her Caribbean homeland of Barbados in memory of her late grandmother.
The 24-year-old singer said the donation to buy three pieces of medical equipment was her way “giving back to Barbados.”
She made the comments during a Saturday ceremony with relatives at the island’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The hospital’s radiotherapy unit has been renamed the Clara Braithwaite Center for Oncology and Nuclear Medicine after Rihanna’s grandmother, who died in June.
Rihanna recently released “Unapologetic,” her seventh album in seven years.
On Monday, she took to Twitter with a positive message:
It is most important to be happy, eliminate negativity around you this holiday season…2013 is way too futuristic for the same weak shit
Chris Brown says he’s more mature now than he was in the past — but when it comes to love, he still has a lot to learn.
The 23-year-old singer, who recently rekindled his friendship with Rihanna, opens up in the December/January issue of XXL magazine about how he’s moving on from his past mistakes.
“In the beginning, I used to be hot,” Brown explained. “I’m normal. I’m human, so if anybody says something that’s a lie, I’m numb to it. I’ve smartened up.”
“I haven’t been as mature and thought out in the past, so, me growing now, it’s showing my progression,” he added. “I used to use my Twitter account to vent, but now I mostly use it for marketing and promotions. Even if the media asks me something, if it’s cool then it’s, ‘What’s up?’ But if it’s anything that’s too negative, I don’t care to respond.” (After this interview occurred, the “Don’t Wake Me Up” singer deleted his Twitter account on Nov. 25 following an explicit Twitter war with comedian Jenny Johnson.)
Rihanna and Chris Brown have a lot in common — they both make great music, they both travel the world, and now they have another shared interest — their brand new Rolex watches! Rihanna and Chris have done nothing to hide their reunion, as they were spotted partying in Berlin over Thanksgiving, and now they appear to be more together than ever, as Chris has bought a very nice present for his girl.
Rihanna is currently in a celebratory mood, as her latest album Unapologetic has gone to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, so she tweeted a picture of her new Rolex watch on Nov. 28 and said “Don’t believe me just watch #newtoy #justcusimnumber1 #roleylife #dopedealer.” It appears that Chris, 23, got Rihanna, 24, the watch as a celebratory present.
Chris, who is currently in Germany on his Carpe Diem tour, posted a picture on Instagram on the same day of his new Rolex watch, and said “Ball game!” Coincidence? We think not! The watches are remarkably similar, so did Chris buy the watch for Rihanna? It seems so, as he also posted a picture of a table covered in Rolex watches, suggesting he spent some time picking the nicest one for RiRi!
Following Rihanna’s tour kick-off in Mexico City, the sultry singer pressed on with the celebration of her seventh album, Unapologetic, getting closer to knocking out seven performances in seven countries in seven days.
E! News, along with 200 other journalists, have been along for the ride with the “Diamonds” crooner on her whirlwind world tour, this time accompanying the star to her concert in Sweden.
When we arrived in Stockholm at 3:40 p.m., it was already dark outside! Most people had slept on the plane from Toronto, so it felt like dawn instead of dusk.
Rihanna was scheduled to begin at 9 p.m., but she didn’t take the stage until 11:40 p.m.—over two and a half hours late.
“I know I’m a little late so I first want to apologize for all the inconvenience,” Rihanna told the crowd. “I want to thank you for being the shit and so patient with me and being still this excited.” “I can’t believe I’m back here this quickly. I must apologize. You guys make me feel so special,” Rihanna continued, before singing “Only Girl.”
