Usher & Shakira To Join NBC’s ‘The Voice’ As Coaches In Spring

Usher and Shakira are joining “The Voice” as new coaches next spring, when Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green take a break from the show, NBC said Monday. Original coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will remain on board in season four, the network said. The singing contest began airing its third season last week.
Aguilera is going on the road to support her new album, while Green is developing new music and a sitcom based on his life for NBC. “As I have expressed since Day One of the show … I am a singer and performer first and I am so excited to get back to that love,” Aguilera said in a statement. But she expressed eagerness about returning to “The Voice” in the future. The addition of the two new coaches will surely make for an interesting Season four.

Kim Kardashian Freezes Her Eggs

Kim Kardashian has had a busy few months, between the highly publicized divorce, spending time with beau Kanye West, taking care of her retail stores, and freezing her eggs to preserve the Kardashian genes. Apparently Kim really wants kids and is taking precautions to ensure she’ll be able to have one when the time is right.

“I decided to get my eggs frozen so that when the time is right I am prepared in case something happens,” she said. Kardashian spoke candidly about the process on last night’s season finale of “keeping Up”.

Kardashian also said she has always wanted a family, but didn’t “take the time to find someone”. Although she’s been married twice, so we have to assume she means she didn’t take the time to find the right someone. She certainly seems to think Kanye may be the man for her, though, as she spoke candidly about her relationship during a recent visit to “The View” and said she believes it’s a permanent thing.

Ellen DeGeneres Sitcom Picked Up By NBC

NBC has officially picked up a new sitcom from Daytime Talk Show giant Ellen DeGeneres. The currently untitled single-camera comedy, is being written by Lauren Pomerantz, the senior writer for DeGeneres’ daytime talk show. Ellen will join Pomerantz on executive producer duties for the sitcom, which focuses on a successful and independent 32-year-old woman who, convinced she is certain to die alone, seeks the advice of those around her to reassure her that living as a singleton was the right choice.

This latest sale is the second in quick succession for DeGeneres and A Very Good Production; only last season, NBC bought the comedy The Smart One, another Ellen-produced show, in a bidding war.

ABC later picked up the project for a pilot, which will star Ellen’s wife, Portia De Rossi, as a “brilliant and successful woman who begrudgingly goes to work for her less-brainy but more popular sister – a former beauty queen, weather girl and now big-city Mayor.”

Nick and Vanessa Lachey Welcome Thier First Child

Singer Nick Lachey and his actress and television host wife Vanessa Lachey welcomed their first child, a baby boy, this week. Vanessa Lachey (née Minnillo) gave birth to Camden John Lachey on Wednesday evening, the couple confirmed to E! News. “We are incredibly proud to announce the birth of our beautiful baby boy, Camden John Lachey,” the couple said in a statement Wednesday to E! News. “Born today at 6:54 p.m., he came into this world at 8 pounds, 9 ounces and 21 inches. Love has truly been redefined for both of us.” Nick Lachey, 38, rose to fame in the 1990s boy group 98 Degrees, and became a pop culture fixture during his highly publicized marriage to Jessica Simpson, which was chronicled on the MTV reality series “Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica.” This summer he was a contestant on the NBC reality competition series “Stars Earn Stripes.”
Vanessa Lachey, 32, is a former beauty queen who hosted MTV’s “Total Request Live” from 2003 through 2007, and now hosts “Wipeout” on ABC. She has also appeared on a number of TV series, including NBC’s “30 Rock” and CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother.” The couple wed last summer, and revealed in June that they were expecting.

Kim Kardashian & Kanye West: Fashion Week New York

Every season the celebrity attendance has been increasing for New York’s Fashion Week, from actresses like Kate Bosworth and Kirsten Dunst to swimming superstar Ryan Lochte. But it wasn’t till the second to last day of Fashion Week that the real star power arrived: Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. The pair surprised everyone at Wednesday evening’s Marchesa show, watching the runway intently from front row seats beside Tyra Banks. We were pretty psyched to see them there, namely because Kim was wearing an explosive feather confection while Yeezy was bravely rocking the double denim (were these two even dressing for the same event?) Then, within the hour, the pair did a costume change and showed up at the Louise Goldin show, with Kim sporting a cute varsity jacket. (Goldin, if you recall, is the British designer who helped Kanye launch his own womenswear line last year.) Kim seemed to enjoy herself, tweeting, “Marchesa show was beyond beautiful!!!!” Kanye was silent on Twitter but was no doubt singing Marchesa and Louise Goldin’s praises in ALL CAPS in his head.

Chris Stokes – Entertainment Mogul

Chris Stokes

A high-profile manager, producer, multi-instrumentalist, screenwriter, and director, Chris Stokes guided Immature/IMx and B2K, two of the most successful R&B groups of the ’90s and early 2000s (respectively). He also produced material by Bell Biv DeVoe, Shanice, and Debelah Morgan, and was part of the group Wataz (which released a 1998 album, Natural High), but he helped build something of an empire with the members of the groups he managed, parlaying their successes into screenwriting and directing. House Party 4, You Got Served, and Somebody Help Me each featured the likes of Omarion, Marques Houston, and other members of Stokes’ groups. In 2012, Stokes and Houston paired together again for the Stokes-directed dramatic film Battlefield America about underground dance competitions.
