Serena and Venus Williams will once again make history on Thursday (September 1).
The sisters are slated to square off against Czech duo Lucie Hradecka and Linda Noskova this evening in the first opening-round doubles match held at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
The sisters have won 14 doubles titles together. If they win tonight, they will make history as the second-most wins for women’s doubles championships in the Open Era. Martina Navratilova and Pam Shriver currently hold the record with 20 wins.
